Umkhokha returns to the screen with new cast members and actors. The Mzansi Magic drama series has big names like Deli Malinga, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, and Nay Maps playing starring roles.
The television show premiered on Mzansi Magic on October 3, 2021, and broadcast its season finale on December 26, 2021.
The Story
The drama series follows the happenings at a gigantic church in KwaZulu-Natal, Ithempeli Lenkosi. After the demise of the church leader, two power-thirsty families contend to gain control.
After the death of the leader of this megachurch, many people now see the religious institution as a business. The size of the church is one of the reasons people think of it as a potential source of income.
The series started with the news of entering into a profitable deal with a beverage company.
After the church leader blesses the water, the congregation drinks it, and the company bottles it and sells it for profit. It has a percentage of shares in the profit the company makes.
However, the series started with the tragic death of the church leader, Kwazi Mthembu, which led to the fight for his replacement.

In 2005, she started playing the role of accountant Siyanda Mazibuko in Isidingo. The actress has starred as Zoe Cele in the SABC1 drama series Yizo Yizo.
Nay Maps as Siphamandla
Playing Siphamandla is the charming actor Nkosinathi Maphalala best known as Nay Maps. He is an actor who has starred in many television shows, such as the SABC1 telenovela Uzalo.
Nay started his television acting career with a guest-starring role as Tshepo in season two of the Mzansi Magic soap opera isiBaya, in 2014.
Linda Sokhulu as Zodwa
Most viewers know Linda Sokhulu for playing a vibrant sassy ex-hooker Cleo Khuzwayo on the SABC1 soap opera Generations. This time, she plays Zodwa in the drama series Umkhokha.
Before bagging this role, the 46-year-old played Nikiwe Sibeko on the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo.
Hope Mbhele as MaBusi
Hope Mbhele is best known for playing MaBusi in Umkhokha. Wearing the character in a way relatable to many viewers gained her prominence and love. She was born in 1995 and is from Umthwalume, Portshepstone, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Sibonile Ngubane as Difa
Only a few actors can combine music and acting, and Sibonile Ngubane does it exceptionally well. He plays Mbovu in the Mzansi Magic soap opera Isibaya.

Kwezi Ndlovu as Nobuntu
Beautiful young actress Kwezi Ndlovu is best known for playing Vivian in the Mzansi Magic soap opera Isithembiso. She comes from Clermont in KwaZulu-Natal but moved to Johannesburg to establish her acting career.
The 29-year-old actress attended many auditions before landing the role of Vivian in Isithembiso. She made her debut appearance in season one, episode one, on June 26, 2017. She has the more undiluted acting talent to offer on the show.
