Early Life

Lehasa Moloi was born in the Free State Province of South Africa. While not much information is available about his parents, it is known that they separated during his childhood, and he was raised in a co-parenting arrangement. Sadly, his father passed away in July 2017 after battling an illness. Moloi pursued his education alongside his passion for performing and writing. He completed a B.Com. degree in Entrepreneurship. He also attended ACT Cape Town, a renowned screen acting school.

Lehasa Moloi has established himself as a multi-faceted talent, engaging in various creative endeavours. He has excelled as an actor, presenter, story writer, editor, DJ, and entrepreneur. His journey in the entertainment industry began with theatre performances, including notable appearances in Louiseville. In 2009, he made his breakthrough in the film industry, portraying the character of PJ Luthuli in “Spud: The Movie.”

Moloi then joined the cast of the SABC soap opera “Muvhango,” playing the role of Dr. Kutlwano Molefe. After a brief hiatus from acting and facing numerous auditions without success, he started selling insurance. However, in 2013, he secured a hosting role on the music show “Mgogo” on e.tv for a six-month contract. In 2015, Moloi became a brand ambassador for Joop! Homme cologne.

One of his notable roles came in the drama series “Rockville,” where he portrayed Oupa Mabaso for four seasons. He also appeared in other television productions, such as “Isidingo,” “Generations,” and “House of Zwide,” in which he played the cunning lawyer Radebe.

In addition to his on-screen work, Moloi has lent his voice to numerous brands and television and radio stations. He has also immersed himself in the world of storytelling, having written and contributed to the storylines of beloved South African shows. As the head writer and story editor of the drama series “The Station,” which premiered on Mzansi Magic in May 2021, Moloi continues to create captivating narratives, with over 20 scripts prepared and ready for production.
