Early Life And Education
Omah Stanley Didia who is prominently known as Omah Lay was born on the 19th of May, 1997 in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. Given the massive exposure to the rugged life in Port-Harcourt city, he was attracted to the arts and immediately started freestyling different rap songs.
Omah Lay received sound education; he attended Comprehensive High School in Port-Harcourt before proceeding to the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State where he studied Management Sciences.

Career
Omah Lay started his music career from a humble beginning as he was part of a rap group with the stage name “Lil King”. Thereafter, he started writing diverse songs and engaged in music production but didn’t earn much credit. Omah Lay released two songs during this period titled “Do Not Disturb” in April 2019 and another “Hello Brother” in May 2019.
He got signed to the record label “KeyQaad” a month after releasing “Do Not Disturb” and “Hello Brother”. While working with KeyQaad, Omah Lay took a 7-month break and worked on his debut EP “Get Layd” which featured “Bad Influence”, one of the songs which ensured his popularity and rise in the Nigerian Music Industry.
In 2020, he released his five-track debut EP which enjoyed the no.1 spot on the Nigerian Apple Music Charts. Furthermore, Omah Lay has been instrumental in the music industry with features on Olamide’s album titled “Carpe Diem” which topped the Apple Music Charts for Nigeria.
He has been involved in numerous projects which include Apple’s Africa Rising Campaign, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s annual “Hot for 2021” list, and the Montreux Jazz Festival’s “20 Artists to Watch in 2021”.
Currently, Omah Lay is signed to Dvpper Music Distribution in Nigeria and Sire Records for international distribution.
